Museum retracing the mining history of the old anthracite mine, with a superb anthracite block and installations.
Nearly two centuries of mining history are told through the heritage of the former anthracite mine. The visit is organised in three buildings: the Shower Building and its Hanging Room, where a mobile model allows visitors to understand how the shaft worked. The "Chevalement" building with its extraction machine shows the complex installations of the mine and exhibits a superb block of anthracite. Not to be missed: the panoramic model of the Auvergne.

Ne les dérangez surtout pas, de toutes façons vous ne serez pas les bienvenus.... La visite guidée est faite de manière tout à fait fantaisiste par un personnel négligeant et désabusé qui vous fait bien sentir que votre présence n'est pas forcément souhaitée....
Très mauvaise expérience
La présentation très pédagogique est étayée par le visionnage d'une video, des maquettes animées et les explications techniques claires de la guide .
Une petite descente dans une galerie aurait été la bienvenue mais tout a été rebouché pour éviter les effondrements suite à la fermeture du site.
Un lieu à visiter absolument et à recommander.
