Things to see and do Imotski

Perched on the clifftops between Lac Bleu and the Gospin dolac stadium, the fortress follows the natural shape of the rocks. The fortress was built in the ^14th century on ^9th- or ^10th-century fortifications. At the main entrance, you can visit the first room where Stipan Vrljić, Imotski's first priest, lived and officiated in the small church of Our Lady of the Angels. But from the end of the ^15th century until 1717, the fortress was in Ottoman hands. It was the seat of the Kadija of Imotski, the Turkish civil administrator and judge.
