A cathedral of harmonious historical styles, with a campanile and panoramic views over the city.
In the heart of the imperial palace, the mausoleum of Diocletian was, at the beginning of the5th century, transformed into a Christian church before becoming the cathedral of Saint Domnius. A showcase for the centuries that followed, the building is a mixture of different styles, a mixture of Romanesque art, Gothic and Renaissance sculptures and Baroque pictorial decoration. The temple of Jupiter built west of the peristyle, the treasure room, the climb to the campanile for the panoramic view of the city, complete the visit.

Une très jolie cathédrale, atypique puisque construite dans un mausolée romain. La vue depuis le campanile est exceptionnelle.

Un magnifique trésor à voir et une montée compliquée au campanile ,mais avec une vue splendide sur les toits et sur le port de Split.

vous faudra payer pour monter toutes ces marches pour avoir une belle vue sur la ville et alentours du sommet du clocher, sinon la cathédrale est assez petite et n'offre pas une architecture et un mobilier religieux très intéressant.
