PALAIS MODELLO (PALAČA MODELLO)

It was built in 1885 on the site of a former theater by Viennese architects Ferdinand Fellner and Herman Helmer. This historic building still boasts a particularly stylish facade, with decorative elements (late Renaissance, Baroque) by the sculptor Ignazio Donegani. The interior can't really be visited, as it now houses the Italian Cultural Club, but on the first floor, the public library of the city of Rijeka is open to all.
