ROVINJ SUMMER FESTIVAL

Throughout August: classical music concerts featuring soloists, ensembles and chamber orchestras. Held in churches in the historic center. The organizers choose a rare repertoire, highlighting not only the international operatic repertoire, but also many works from Croatia's rich musical heritage. Little-played and unjustly forgotten works are rediscovered during the Rovinj Summer Festival, an international event founded in 1996, under the direction of mezzo-soprano Katja Markotić.
