Next to the Church of St. Euphemia, this gastronomic restaurant (one Michelin star) is one of the best known in Istria. Its chef, Danijel Dado Đekić, subtly handles local products, for a clever blend of new Croatian cuisine, traditional recipes and local inspiration. Seasonal fruits and vegetables in sweet and savoury versions, tapioca pearls in squid ink, vegetable spaghetti, grilled corn and langoustines in nectarine sauce, scallop skewers with raw mushrooms, ice cream with wild fennel and dark chocolate, vegetarian menu.

Der Besuch im Monte war durchgängig fantastisch. Begonnen bei der Reservierung (taggleich online um, 16:00 Uhr reserviert über Hompage), die durch einen Anruf und Allergieabklärung 30 Minuten nach Onlinereservierung bestätigt wurde. Da sind die Prozesse bereits perfekt abgestimmt. Die Location in einem ruhigen Teil von Rovinj ist perfekt und sehr schön. Das Essen (wir hatten das Green Menu) war fantastisch und das gesamte Servicepersonal bestens ausgebildet, zuvorkommend und dezent im Umgang mit den Gästen. Es war ein absolut gelungener Besuch und bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt in Rovinj wird das ein Fixpunkt werden. Wir kommen wieder, wünschen dem gesamten Team des Monte alles Gute. Danke!

Had a fantastic dinner truly superb and very reasonably priced compared other Michelins star restaurants. Hostess was exceptional and sommelier very knowledgable paired the wine with food. Highly recommend this place
