Animal park in the north of the island with large animals, offspring or survivors of Tito's private collection.

While the zoo is home to exotic animals, the park is populated by free-living deer. In the animal park (9 ha in the north of the island), the offspring or survivors of Tito's private collection are well cared for. Knowing their host's penchant for the beasts of the jungle, invited foreign heads of state would offer live gifts to their Yugoslav counterpart... Indian President Nehru's nilgai antelope, Indira Gandhi's 1974 elephant, Sri Lanka's zebu, Zambia's cob, Guinea's zebra... these are just a few examples
