CHEZ NATH
Read moreNath proposes good and affordable dishes and pizzas (the speciality, which will perhaps change from the other restaurants of Sainte-Marie) to be tasted on a small covered terrace in the back. You can also come and enjoy the setting for a simple drink. To sleep, double or family bungalows are available, as well as beach bungalows with shared sanitary facilities for small budgets. Nath's welcome is particularly nice and makes us appreciate this small address since years!
TABLE D'HÔTE CHEZ SAMSON
Read moreAn experienced chef, he's not just starting out: ex-chef of the Princesse Bora, Samson is also in charge of catering for the Whale Festival and used to have a gargote in front of the Ravoraha. He specializes in seafood (gambas with vanilla sauce, prawns with combava or green pepper, mangrove crabs with coconut sauce, oysters), fish and chicken with lychee sauce, all fresh, refined and well-presented. The site is remarkable, and Samson can organize a tour of the mangrove, as well as a beautiful quad bike ride.
LA BIGORNE
Read moreThe restaurant of the eponymous hotel has already delighted many of our readers for many years! The address is always praised for its hearty and innovative dishes, and for its excellent quality-price ratio. We come here to enjoy delicious lobsters as well as very good coconut dishes. The fresh fruit juices are also particularly appreciated. Your hosts Chantal, Benoît and their staff are very attentive to their guests. You can also simply have a drink. A sure value.
BORAHA VILLAGE
Read moreA fine restaurant in a lovely setting, facing the shimmering lagoon. Enjoy an aperitif on the pontoon, then sit down to enjoy the house specialty with an idyllic view: the famous funnel crab. You'll also appreciate the lobster tagliatelle, duck with seasonal fruits, lemongrass camarons and fresh fish (the owner is an avid fisherman). In fact, he regularly organizes inshore and deep-sea fishing trips, as well as mountain bike rentals. A great time to be had, especially as Pascal and Josiane are so welcoming.
LA VARANGUE
Read moreA Saint-Marien chef in the kitchen, and the charming Kate and her team to serve you, with their feet in the water. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a star at the bar and even a pool table to accompany your aperitif. Half-board catering is available for villa guests, and outside catering is open morning and evening. Here, the menu is based on seafood. The customer is not king, but a friend.
LA CAMBUSA
Read moreThe former Cambusa has closed and moved to the site of the former Banana. Run by Ruggero (ex-rugby player), specializing in pasta, pizzas (thin, crispy dough), grilled meat and Italian dishes (we recommend the tagliatelle with clams and the meat and tomato ravioli). A great gourmet address for small budgets, with homemade ice creams served on the terrace. La Cambusa also has an ice-cream parlour in town, next to the Alliance Française, which we recommend for straciatella lovers!
