Pharmacies Tana – Antananarivo

The Metropolitan Pharmacy was officially inaugurated by General Galliéni on 19 February 1898. It therefore celebrated its 120th anniversary in 2018. The history of this pharmacy is thus inseparable from that of Madagascar. She has witnessed colonization, independence, socialist experience and dictatorship, transition, as well as various political crises. Different pharmacists have followed one another, leaving their mark on the history of the pharmaceutical profession in Mada.
