Travel Guide Üzüngöl

This small village of 1,560 inhabitants next to the lake of the same name, which means "long lake", retains a charming natural setting despite the invasion of hotels, guesthouses and bungalows, all concentrated to the south of the lake. There is an embarrassment of riches to choose from when it comes to lodging. A little air of Switzerland floats on this town which shelters pretty wooden houses and a mosque at the edge of the water. It is a very popular tourist destination for the increasing number of travelers from the Gulf. Greenery and frequent fog make the place mysterious and soothing. Uzungöl is an interesting starting point to start hiking to the Soğanlı Mountains and the Haldizen Mountains.
