Carved into the rock face at the northern end of the town on a hill, is a Hellenistic theater. Built in the 4th century BC, the monument has now been restored. Originally, it could seat 13,000 people. Strolling along the steps of the theater is the ideal way to enjoy the sun setting over Bodrum Bay and the castle. The view is splendid. In summer, many concerts and shows are held on the premises, and parking is difficult, but it's a promise of pleasant evenings.

The place is to be visited at sunset: the view is magnificent.
Small flat: it is necessary to disregard the main road which pass just to the top and are lined up all buses tourists: (I did not attend concerts but I request well how that plays with omnipresent traffic on this road!

Il est situé en partie haute de la ville et le trajet à pied est à presque à30 mn du port, avec une montée à éviter par grosse chaleur, surtout qu'il n'y a pas d'ombre.
