It comprises three temples. The one on the right is dedicated to Leto, the central one to Artemis and the third to Apollo. The latter has preserved a beautiful mosaic depicting an arrow for Artemis and a lyre for Apollo. A little further on are the nympheum and the Byzantine monastery. Towards the entrance, two porticoes (one Ionic, the other Doric). To the right, a Hellenistic theater. The doorway features 16 sculpted masks (including Dionysus). Nearby, a sculpted sarcophagus.

Le site du Letôon, fouillé par des archéologues français, n'est pas le plus impressionnant de la région. Il s'agit d'un sanctuaire antique dédié à la déesse Léto, mère des jumeaux Apollon et Artémis. On peut voir les restes de leurs temples respectifs, une agora en partie submergée (peuplée des tortues aquatiques) et un théâtre dont les murs extérieurs sont en bon état. Visite intéressante pour des connaisseurs en archéologie avant tout. Entrée : 8 livres turques
