Travel Guide Alara Han

30 km from Manavgat. Coming from Alanya, turn right at the sign. This Seljuk caravanserai dating from 1232 was built by Sultan Alaeddin Keykubad to facilitate the itinerant life of the traders who went from Konya to Antalya. It is located on the banks of the turquoise Alara River, and is overlooked by a fortress of the same period from which you have a splendid view of the region. It is necessary to bring a flashlight because the access is done by a tunnel which includes 120 steps, and to arm you with courage: a steep path follows it (one hour). In the fortress, you can see the ruins of a kiosk and a hammam.
