Neoclassical park with garden featuring a cypress maze and a sumptuous palace on 3 levels

This neoclassical park is the oldest in the city; a cypress labyrinth gave it its name. It occupies the former estate of the Desvalls family, whose sumptuous palace is unfortunately in a state of neglect. Spread over three levels, the park features an 18th century neoclassical garden and a romantic 19th century garden. It was once the setting for sumptuous theatrical performances in which various monarchs participated.

Ce grand jardin varié, avec bâtiments et plans d'eau en plus du labyrinthe, mérite une petite promenade si l'on ne visite pas Barcelone au pas de course. C'est une belle balade d'une ou deux heures (privilégier un mercredi ou un dimanche, quand l'entrée est gratuite). Il semble peu fréquenté (surtout par rapport à la Rambla), bien qu'il soit facilement accessible depuis la station de métro Mundet (un petit quart d'heure à pied).

Très beau parc facilement accessible en métro car excentré de la ville. Il est beaucoup moins fréquenté que d’autres sites de la ville et offre une sensation de tranquillité.

Lovely garden airy to discover family for its famous mazes that do not miss originality. Its location outside the city is by car it easily accessible.

Very beautiful garden and maze. A little thrown offcentre, it is possible to be parked in the area.
This garden gives an impression of fresh even in summer.
Access is free one days a week, and it is possible to visit some parts with a reservation.
