Parades and processions that commemorate the death and resurrection of Christ. On Palm Sunday, palm leaves are woven into a cross. On this day, the Burreta procession takes place in the streets of the Barri Gòtic, which depicts the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. On Easter Sunday, the mona de Pasqua is eaten, a cake in the shape of a crown with small chocolate eggs or characters that are popular with children. According to tradition, the godparents give the mona to their godchildren every year.
