Just a stone's throw from the Ramblas, this attractive modernist-style bar, dating from 1928, is renowned for its wines, liqueurs and Catalan cuisine. The place, with its very local atmosphere, is pleasant and tastefully decorated: from the moment you enter, you'll feel as if you've been transported to another era. Must-try dishes on the menu include Fricandó, mandonguilles (meatballs), cannelloni and ham croquetas . As for drinks, why not sip a delicious vermouth or cocktail? A fine selection of Catalan wines.
