Getting around by train Barcelona

This station is mainly served by suburban and regional trains, including the R2 line from Rodalies (towards Castelldefels, the airport, Sitges) and several regional trains towards LLeida, Valencia and Girona. It is also an important node grouping 3 lines of the Barcelona metro (L2, L3, L4). The train station is located under the Passeig de Gràcia, between the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes and Carrer Aragó: it can be reached by several accesses.

This is Barcelona's central railway station, inaugurated in 1979 after more than 10 years of work. This underground station is a communication node between the Barcelona metro, the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat and the Cercanías. In particular, you can take the R1 train towards the beaches of Badalona and the Maresme coast, with stops at the seaside resorts of El Masnou, Premià de Mar... The metro is served by the L1 (red) and L3 (green) lines, while the FGC lines will take you to Sarrià or Tibidabo Avenue.

Inaugurated in 1929, this beautiful modernist station has lost its importance to the station of Sants. It was originally built in the 19th century to accommodate trains from France, before being remodelled for the 1929 International Exhibition. Beautifully decorated with Art Deco motifs, it is located on Avenida del Marquès de l'Argentera, halfway between the Born district and the seafront. Today, only a few regional lines of the Rodalies and Media Distancia trains continue to stop there.

Locker Barcelona is located right next to the Plaça de Catalunya, close to the airport shuttle buses and the various public transport services, including the train station and the port. Their lockers work with an electronic code that gives you secure access to your personal belongings all day long. The venue is monitored by security cameras and offers free access to changing rooms.
