Coptic church with relics of Saint Barbara and a metal gate giving access to the Coptic cemetery in a haven of peace.

The Coptic Church of St. Barbara is of a structure comparable to that of the Church of St. Sergius. It was built in the 4th and^5th centuries, destroyed and rebuilt in the 11th century. It contains the relics of St Barbara, a Christian martyr murdered by the hands of her pagan father. 10 m from Saint Barbara, a metal gate leads to the Coptic cemetery, a haven of peace with alleys shaded by eucalyptus trees, with tombs close to the pavilion architecture, where families like to spend an afternoon in the company of their dead.
