The first Americana Group outlet under the Grand Café banner opened in Alexandria, Egypt in 1988. All of the chain's locations offer an outdoor setting, panoramic views and relatively good quality food and beverages. The chain has spread to several areas of Cairo. The address is splendid, to take a chicha and sip a fresh fruit juice, facing the Nile, in Maadi. One can also nibble sandwiches and grills there. It is best to book in the evening and on Friday lunchtime.
