Queen Alia International Airport is located about 35 km south of Amman. Terminal 1 is normally used for Royal Jordanian flights, and Terminal 2 for other airlines. There is a large duty free shop in the transit area, where you can make purchases on arrival and departure. You will find a vending machine even before immigration, as the visa has to be paid in local currency, if you have not got the Jordan Pass.

Amman, the capital of Jordan, is home to a private airline called Royal Wings and Arab Wings. Founded in 1975, Arab Wings is the leading private jet rental operator in the Middle East. ROYAL JORDANIAN

The Jordanian airline operates direct flights between Amman and Paris 6 times a week. There is no flight on Tuesday. All other days, the flight departs from Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle at 3:35 pm and arrives in Amman at 10:10 pm. Return flights depart from Amman at 10:55am and arrive at Roissy at 2:10pm. Fares vary greatly depending on whether you book well in advance or at the last minute, or during school holidays or not. On-board service is provided with a light meal, but the possibility to watch movies depends on the aircraft.

MIDDLE EAST AIRLINES (MEA)

Middle East Airlines, more commonly known by its initials MEA, is the most convenient airline for a stopover flight to Amman. The Lebanese airline operates a daily service between Paris CDG and Amman, via Beirut. The leg between Paris and Beirut is operated by Air France (departure from CDG Terminal 2E) in the early morning. The one-hour flight between Beirut and Amman is on MEA. Your ticket price includes a meal on board.
