TARTU CITY MUSEUM (TARTU LINNAMUUSEUM)

The museum traces the history of Tartu from the Stone Age to the present day through a collection of objects, works of art, photographs and archaeological finds. It was created in 1955, and the objects it contains all have in common that they go back to the origin of the city and its evolution over the centuries. Very often very interesting temporary exhibitions complete the museum, such as the one on the Viking treasures of Estonia.
