Tartu's beautiful church boasts a treasure trove of Gothic sculpture: small terracotta figurines.

This beautiful 14th-century church is the oldest in the town and boasts a treasure trove of Gothic sculptures. In fact, there are almost 1,000 small terracotta figurines scattered in niches throughout the interior and exterior of the church. You can climb to the top of the bell tower to admire the view over the city. The church is open Mondays and Fridays from 12:30 to 19:00, and Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 11:00 to 19:00 (€3).

un charme fou
Cette église en façades de briques est du plus bel effet, avec son clocher lui plus traditionnel, n'hésitez pas à y pénétrer, son intérieur est magnifique, une hauteur de plafond incroyable donnant à ce lieu envie de le contempler en détail, orgue de petite taille mais ravissant, des frises très particulières et un beau sarcophage. Nous avons fait la connaissance de la prête de cette église, eh oui c'est une femme et assez jeune, très avenante et dynamique.
