Since its creation in 1992, von Krahl, Estonia's first private theater to open after the fall of communism, had been based in the heart of the old town. It has now moved to Telliskivi, adding a new cultural pearl to its necklace. Von Krahl produces contemporary works (operas, multimedia performances, theater and dance shows) that run counter to current trends. Unfortunately, the café-bar that was a good place to eat at the old address is now only open on performance days.
