Tallinn railway station is a 10-minute walk from the Old Town. It is the country's largest railway station, opened in 1870 and completely renovated in the 1960s. It has several luggage lockers. Tickets can be purchased in the main hall. The reservations office is upstairs. Estonian cities served daily by Elron (elron.ee/en) include Pärnu, Tartu and Narva.

Public transport

You can either buy the ticket from the driver (€2), which is the easiest way, or you can get a city magnetic card called Ühiskaart, which you can load with credit. You can get it at the post office, city hall or at a Selver or Prisma info desks, the R-Kiosk.

Buses and trams serve the whole city well. The network runs from 5am to midnight. Some night buses run every hour from midnight to 5am
