Read moreThis temple built in granite blocks cut in the 5th century Bc. was used for more than a century to celebrate religious ceremonies (known as mysteries orphic). At the beginning of the third century Bc. in the central hall was ritually buried king Seuthès ІІІ. A sublime bronze head of the king was discovered in garnishes and retaining its gaze of alabaster and molten glass, it became the accent of the exhibition of the thracian treasures in the Louvre in 2015.
