GARDENS AROUND

The Yage Gardens are located about ten kilometers from downtown Taichung, and without a car, are quite difficult to access. This large park used to be popular with the city's inhabitants: newlyweds used to come here to have their pictures taken. But after the 1999 earthquake, most of the infrastructure was destroyed, and the area gradually declined. That said, it is still possible to visit some of the ruins of the park still standing, which are said to be haunted by many ghosts.
