BUTTERFLY CORRIDOR

It is on the central belt linking the Datun, Qixing, and Chungcheng mountains that the vegetation is the densest, with an alternation of tropical jungles and temperate forests. It is therefore not surprising that from May to August, the season par excellence for butterflies, a large concentration of insects can be found in this area. The park has 151 species, a third of the island's species, some of which are unique to the region, such as the Appias lyncida formosana.
