Things to see and do Roi Et

Located north of Padungpanit Road, near the Nuea River, Wat Buphira is the most famous temple of King And. It is here that the greatest Buddha in prayer posture in the country is found, overlooking the city from the top of its 67.2 meters high, counting the 8-meter platform on which it is placed. Known as Luang Pho Yai, (or Phra Phuttha Rattana Mongkhon Mahamuni), this imposing golden Buddha was built between 1973 and 1979. When you arrive nearby, you can have a beautiful view of the city and its surroundings.

The National King's Museum and presents the province's geography, natural resources, archaeology, history, lifestyle and hand-woven silk products. Professor Ko Sawatdiphanit founded this museum to showcase the crafts of King And province. It was then renovated and transformed into a national museum when the Department of Fine Arts adopted a policy to create a national museum in the province. Allow about an hour to visit this museum located near City Hall.
