This small village on the Laotian border, close to a popular market, is accessible via Route 217.

To get to this village on the Laotian border, you need to take road 217, which is in excellent condition. A popular market is located near the brand-new border post. It is not possible to renew your residence permit in Thailand by making a return trip to Laos in the same day, as is the case in Myanmar or Malaysia. Or you have to pay the price of a Laotian visa (1,800 baht for 30 days): no "easing" of the procedure between the two countries for the moment.
