THUNG SI MEUANG PARK

A park where, traditionally, families come to stroll and sometimes cool off in the shade of the alleys, nibbling a khao phat at various stands that have settled there. In the middle is a huge candle imitation. This is the main site of the city's largest celebration, the Candlelight Festival. It is particularly popular in the early evening, the night market is nearby. It is also a meeting place for athletes of all kinds, many come here to unwind in groups and in rhythm.
