The best restaurants Lampang

Restaurant with terrace on the banks of the Wang River. Beautifully decorated entirely in teak. The cuisine is decent, the menu varied and the prices reasonable. You can come just for a drink. For atmosphere, live music orchestrated by Thai bands, in the evening from 8 or 9 pm. The neighboring restaurant, called The River, offers more or less the same services, but with a slightly nicer view.

We fell in love with this small establishment located between the old Chinese market and the Wang River. Housed in a traditional wooden house, this restaurant-bar offers revisited Isaan cuisine. The menu is limited, but the dishes are carefully prepared. The Isaan-style salad with smoked salmon was our favorite. The only drawback is that the dishes are not very copious. The decor is superb, the place very welcoming, warm, almost lounge-like. Special mention must go to the bar, where the subdued lighting is a real eye-catcher.

A special place in the hearts of Lampang's residents, if the attendance is anything to go by! Just above the old Chinese market, Aroy One Baht is packed every night. Located in an old wooden building, you can either sit near the kitchen around charming sewing tables, or upstairs. The success is due to the particularity of the place: the portions are quite small and the prices are very low, so you can order several plates per person to taste a maximum of dishes! Alcohol is also served.

This small establishment is located opposite Riverside Restaurant, close to Kad Kong Ta Market. It was founded in 2011 by an Anglo-Thai couple who will welcome you with a smile. The menu features a wide range of Thai and international dishes, pizzas, desserts, ice creams, smoothies, coffees and a variety of spirits. The place is very cosy, and is located on the first floor of the owners' house! Pool table, TV room for sports events and terrace on the Wang River side. Relaxed atmosphere.

Close to the Kad Kong Ta Market, here's a nice little establishment offering a wide variety of New York-style pizzas, all of them excellent. It also serves salads, homemade pasta (spaghetti, penne) and soup of the day. Don't hesitate to consult the slates to discover the chef's suggestions. The place has a pleasantly sober modern decor. You can dine inside or on the small terrace, or order takeaway. Beer, wine and cocktails are also on the menu. Lampang's expat community meets here regularly.
