The best restaurants Sukhothai

Established in Sukhothia many years ago, this discreet restaurant is one of Sukhothai's best tables for tourists. In fact, the dishes are adapted to Western palates, and will only be spiced up at your request. There are also a few Western recipes (steak and French fries), as well as some very good sandwiches. The reputation of the breakfasts is well established, and the menu subtly blends local flavors with Western influences. An amusing detail: the walls are covered with words left by travelers... Where's yours?

When night falls (at around 6 p.m.) and everything falls asleep around your guesthouse, head to Sinvana for dinner: you'll find a charming setting and exclusively Thai cuisine adapted to Western palates. All in all, it's rather bland, but the setting is worth the trip. Some like it, others hate it... This large tourist restaurant is used to groups passing through, but sometimes it's quiet. If you ask us, it's better to dine in one of the smaller establishments facing the entrance to the historic park...

A charming little café in a street parallel to the main road, at the Sak Suk Resort. The place looks more like an English tea room than a Thai restaurant! It offers all kinds of drinks but also tasty and well presented dishes, such as massaman curry or spaghetti pad thai. Save room for desserts as the house makes its own delicious ice cream. You can sit in the room or in the garden. Very pleasant bucolic atmosphere. Recommended.

A modern sign on the main road that doubles as a guesthouse. Don't be put off by the somewhat cold appearance of the room, the food is excellent. The menu is varied and the dishes are carefully prepared without MSG. Try the pad kra pao or the green curry with rotis (Indian rolls similar to nans). Attentive service. What's more, the friendly owner speaks excellent English and will be happy to give you expert advice for your visits.
