A magnificent mansion with a splendid garden in Bangkok, owned by Kukrit Pramoj, a much-loved poet and writer.

Kukrit Pramoj was one of Thailand's most beloved ^20th-century statesmen. A poet and writer, he was even Prime Minister in the 1970s. His home is a magnificent example of Thai architecture, and the garden is a splendid place to relax in lush greenery in the middle of the city. A great lover of art, there are many examples of Thai and Korean culture. Away from the tourist circuit, this house is as well worth a visit as Jim Thompson's house. A quiet, restful place.
