A military monument in Bangkok, built to commemorate the Thai victory over the French.
It is a military monument built in 1941. It commemorates a Thai victory over the French. Thailand having succeeded in annexing certain regions of Cambodia and Laos, territories that had previously been ceded to France. The story did not stop there and became embarrassing at the end of the Second World War when Thailand was forced to return the territories to France. The monument, composed of an obelisk and statues of soldiers, does not celebrate anything very glorious, but it is still there!

Majestueux rond-point Victory Monument
Point de rendez-vous des mini vans, ou point de repère majeur, ou point de rencontre avec l'histoire, ... la belle obélisque est toujours là. Station de skytrain au raz, donc immanquable §
