This pillar, built by Rama IV, is considered a lucky place in Bangkok, where wishes always come true.
It was the first building erected even before the Grand Palais was built under the order of Rama I. It therefore served as the foundation stone for the creation of Bangkok. The information is very precise since it was placed on Sunday, April 21, 1782. A second pillar was added by Rama IV. In 1982, it was completely renovated to commemorate the city's birth. For Thais, it is a place that brings good luck and where wishes are supposed to come true.
