This small open-air bar, close to the BTS On Nut, is a Bangkok institution. It's very popular with Thais, expats and a few thirsty tourists passing by. In fact, every evening there's a small crowd in front of this bar, which is really just a counter open onto the street. Prices are very affordable and the motley wooden decor is pretty cool. You can also order small dishes to mop up a bit... One flaw, however: it's not big enough! By the way, "Cheap Charlie" is an expression meaning "cheapskate"...
