Park with two play areas, over 25,000 plants including remarkable trees, a beautiful rose garden and a stretch of water.
At the initiative of Abbé Delarbre, a botanical garden was created at the end of the 18th century. Today, it is the city's green lung. Redesigned by landscape architect Paul de Lavenne de Choulot, the park was laid out in 1863 by botanist Henri Lecoq. The 5-hectare park features more than 25,000 plants, including some remarkable trees and a beautiful rose garden, a stretch of water where swans and ducks frolic, two playgrounds, a merry-go-round and a bar-restaurant. One of the entrances is through the gateway to the Domaine de Bien-Assis, the last vestige of Blaise Pascal's family home.

Une petite bulle d'air au milieu de la circulation automobile omniprésent dans ce secteur de Clermont.
Ce parc est beau, c'est très bien entretenu.
Dans le parc on retrouve un manège, un restaurant, des toilettes publics, des petits étangs avec des canards, des statues de grenouilles.
Il y'a pas mal de gens ici, c'est assez vivant.
La pelouse n'est pas interdite, on peut s'y poser.
Pour l'anecdote de 1960 à 1999, il y'avait un phoque nommé "Banquise" qui résidait dans la bassin du Jardin Lecoq.
