Natural science museum in Clermont-Ferrand, where the Auvergne's natural riches and great figures are honored.

On his death, Henri Lecoq bequeathed his collection to the town of Clermont-Ferrand, which in 1873 acquired the mansion where the scientist lived, to establish a museum. With collections dedicated to the natural sciences and to science and technology, the museum explores various fields: geology, botany, zoology, mineralogy and paleontology, technical and industrial heritage. Part of the museum's focus is on the Auvergne region, its riches and personalities such as Blaise Pascal. Temporary exhibitions, tours, workshops, games and lectures bring the museum to life.
