The beautiful exhibition "Traits d'Égypte, Marcelle Baud (1890-1987)" highlights one of the few women Egyptologists of the early 20th century. A Parisian of Auvergne origin, her dual training in archaeology and art led her to specialize in the study of Egyptian art and drawing. Throughout her life, she has sought to unravel the mysteries of the methods and techniques used by the artists and craftsmen who sculpted and painted the temples and tombs of Egypt. The exhibition at the Bargoin Museum in Clermont-Ferrand reveals to the public not only the career but also the personality of an extraordinary woman through more than 4,000 drawings, sketches, surveys, watercolours, photographs, notes and other notebooks. A tour is also offered to children with manipulations, games and videos. More information on the website of Clermont Auvergne Métropole
