CONSULAT DU PARAGUAY

Fewer backpackers will pass through Paraguay, but for Canadians, a visa is required. It is at the exorbitant and discouraging rate of 150 CAN$ for 90 days! For all other European nationalities, no special formalities for stays of less than 3 months. Check the validity of the passport and ensure that it is valid for the required periods. For French-speaking countries, for long-term stays (working at the French high school in Asuncion, for example), a visa will be required.
