The city was created by General Justo José de Urquiza in 1860. It is one of the oldest surviving migrant colonies in the country. Today it is one of the tourist centers of the Paraná River. The vegetation is interesting, very present, the beaches are of white sand, there are many peaceful corners to swim in the shade of the trees, and last but not least, there are big fish to attract fishermen: dorados, surubí and paties abound here. Ask at the tourist office (✆ +54 343 487 2002 - Los Horneros - www.turismovillaurquiza.com.ar) for guide references.
