Since its resumption in the summer of 2014, Le Bar de la Place has won the trust of the Châteaugaires and is pleased with the visitors of passage. The place is warm. The manager and head of the hotel, who is the owner of the hotel, will delight both in his friendliness and in his appealing cuisine. Its dishes favour fresh products and are structured around classic recipes made without false note. The card changes every day. The formula of the midi (entrance, dish, dessert, wine, coffee) offers excellent value for money and generous cuisine prepared as at home. Every Friday lunchtime, the Bar de la Place offers a unique thématisé menu: couscous, cod, paella, sauerkraut, or the traditional Villages Auvergne. An invitation to a successful culinary journey.

Déçue, j'ai demandé en apéritif un jus d'ananas avec du sirop de fraise ou grenadine, j'ai eu une boisson pétillante au goût d'ananas à la place du jus de fruits, rien à voir. Avec mon futur mari, nous avons mangé sur place. Une familiarité dérangeante à mon égard en parlant de moi à mon fiancé de "ta copine", je pense qu'un certain respect de la clientèle est à tenir même si on connaît bien une personne. Quand à la suite, la personne qui nous a servi a bien démandé à mon futur mari si il voulait du fromage, elle est partie en chercher sans même me poser la question si moi j'en voulais. Du coup, me voilà avec une assiette de fromage que je ne voulais pas. Je l'ai mangé pour ne pas jeter. Quand au café je n'en ai pas vu la couleur. Ni mon futur mari, ni sa collègue m'a demandé. Je pense que me concerter et pas ignorer ma présence aurait été bien plus agréable. Quand au départ, je n'ai même pas eu droit à un au-revoir mais lui oui. Bref à vous de voir ce que vous en pensez. Personnellement des excuses sont un minimum.
