Nous sommes allés au gîte début août. Le cadre parait sympa à 1ère vue, mais lorsque vous voyez la douche, toilette et lavabo les eaux communiquaient entre elles et était de couleur très foncée ! sans compter l'odeur qui se dégageait des toilettes et qui donnait sur l'extérieur au pied du gîte. Après une descente du Maîdo nous avons finalement décidé de remonter pour arriver avant la nuit. Remarque, nous étions 6 et nous avions 5 lits + un matelas d'appoint ! Très déçus, je pense que les avis positifs que l'on peut lire sont anciens et qu'avant de le mettre en recommandation dans des éditions (Petit futé...) cela mériterait d'être revérifié sur place et sans prévenir.

Accueil à revoir, personne présenter le fonctionnement du gîte, propreté limite, dortoir à éviter rempli d'araignées. Plancher des douches qui s'effondre, table pour dîner idem... A 19h, arrivée du patron Alex, qui semble sous l'emprise du zamal, à l'écouter il faut manger avec les doigts dans des feuilles de bananier. Au total randonneurs fatigués, passer votre chemin, et allez chez son voisin mahafaty bébé, où l'accueil est bien plus chaleureux et convivial.

We spent a superb night to blue Ti kaz! I must admit that I was taken a little last time to reserve and that I chose this cottage to chance: luckily, the double room was still free. I read then rather bad comments on the cottage before leaving and was taken panic: I almost cancel, then I finally decided to trust the owner. Large good took some me since we judged the perfect service.
You should know that flat Rock is one of the most beautiful places where to stay (more than Marla or La Nouvelle, more welcoming and tourist). The islet is separated into two and the side on which is blue Ti kaz is certainly the most beautiful view. The cottage is signposted you can easily spot it easily. Once there, it is necessary to call Axel or his wife (numbers on the doors) who indicates that bungalow to take. Above, there are two collective dormitories provided each with a fully-equipped kitchen. Everything is available to eat outside and even make grilled meats. The bungalow double room is slightly hidden away below, which allows you to have a little privacy. In the same way, there is a small kitchen: you can make tea while arriving. Inside, there is everything you need bed (clean and folded), the duvets and- great idea- blankets! It is super for the evening. Outside, a coffee table, armchairs etc. with a magnificent view! It is a dream.
Axel (super friendly) came to bring a superb dinner to us around 18:30 fried zucchini, rougail bringelle the cod ek, rice zembrocal, cake potatoes, rum. It brings also breakfast at the same time so that you can take it per hour that you want: bread, butter and jam mango absolutely delicious house. We enjoyed and spent a night very pleasant (and relaxing!). I forget to mention that the bathroom/toilets is near the top bungalows, which can be a little complicated the night, but we will not complain: you could take a hot shower on arrival, which was ideal to relax! Single little thing missing: a trash in the bathroom and the bungalow.
Cleanliness, all seemed perfect. Honestly, the bathroom was immaculate when we arrived (a little salis then by the following occupants…). Similar to the bungalow. The white fabric of the outdoor lounge has been made, but honestly, it is imagined that hikers do not arrive always clean and that the owners will not spend their time cleaning/laundry that: and if that cloudy, you can always add a plaid.
Not really, it was a superb experience that I recommend to all (and reasonably priced)! Thank you very much Axel!!

Le cadre est évidemment splendide et les cases faciles à trouver sur le chemin.
La surprise d'être le premier arriver, j'ai donc envoyé un message à Axel et commencé à m'installer. Il est arrivé peu de temps après pour discuter et nous souhaiter la bienvenue. Le repas est bon et généreux, Axel le prépare dans sa case et nous l'a porté bonne heure. Il propose parfois des bungalows proche de sa case qui offre l'impression familial d'être reçu chez l'habitant avec son propre chez soi et se sentir dans le coeur de la vie rurale de Mafate. Merci pour ce séjour et à une prochaine.

Je suis étonné de lire ces avis positifs! les avis négatifs me paraîssent plus crédibles.
Ce gite est à déconseiller absolument: c'est médiocre, pas propre et pas fiable.
Nous avons réservé, accompte payé deux mois à l'avance pour nous retrouver dans une cabane au milieu des poules, couvertures tachées, sanitaires encombrés par les affaires du proprio ...

Pas d acceuil ( des gens du gite a coté nous ont renseigné ou s installer), une salle de bain delabrée
( le plancher est pret a s effondrer), des draps de lit troués aux odeurs douteuses, le repas est correct mais le petit dejeuner plus que limite ( lait en poudre un pain tranché pour 4 et qques morceaux de beurre) bref passez votre chemin ou choisissez un autre gite. Les cases ont du potentiel mais la propreté n est pas au rdv.

The owner, Axel is very welcoming, it on site brings the meal around 19:00. A meal with a maximun of local products, hearty and very good. It is true that it has had to make our crockery has cold water but it did not disturb us view the service and the price! For us, patrons hikers probably the best address of the cirque level price quality, respecting the spirit of Mafate and cottage hiking mountain. The recorded negative opinions are has our opinion designed by the hair or are from another era!
