Gite offering traditional cooking on wood fire in the evening.
With its brightly coloured facade, this is an accommodation that you can't miss in La Nouvelle! Alain Bègue's gîte has dormitories for 8 and 6 people, 2 rooms for 4 people and 3 bungalows for 2 people with private bathrooms. In the evening, the hosts propose a traditional cooking on wood fire. In the large dining room, you will taste the essential dishes of the Reunionese gastronomy: rougail saucisse, chicken curry, boucané, accompanied by rice and grains. The place is pleasant and the welcome is warm.

Very good welcome, very clean dormitory!
The entrance and the meal good stays and sufficiently for filling its belly!!
P'tit déj 'small delicious homemade jam.
We saw the other commentary and definitely do not understand why!! A very satisfying stays 14 and all!!

Déçue : l'odeur renfermée des chambres, 2 salles de bain et 2 toilettes communes pour toute une maison de 20 personnes, les lits sont à deux doigts de casser, on débarrasse les tables quand d'autres mangent encore, on mets les déchets de tables dans des bols devant les hôtes pendant le repas, un carré de beurre pour chaque personnes au petit déjeuner, le repas sans aucun sans goût ni sentiment. La seule chose que je retiens c'est la salade en entrée! Jardin pas entretenu, et j'en passe.....

I slept in dormitory of 4. The latter and of average size, unpretentious but with the classic comfort cottages.
For night that I spent:
Positive points: the meal, in good quantity, and good. The reception, conviviality; managing was very nice and had a good time to dscuter with us.
Negative point: no linens. Just one matelat, protects a bedspread and a cover. The very basic breakfast.

Nous avons réservé un bungalow individuel (2 pers). Nous étions arrivés trop tôt mais nous avons été bien accueillis et avons pu nous installer tout de suite. Le bungalow était au calme & propre, à un détail près: pas de lunette sur la cuvette des toilettes. La douche était très spacieuse. Petite terrasse privative incorporée au bungalow. Rien à voir effectivement avec le gîte (dortoirs) vétuste et malodorant (des amis y logeaient). Le repas du soir était très bon (salade composée en entrée, cari de poulet au feu de bois, gâteau créole), servi dans une grande pièce réfectoire.

Rien a dire du repas qui était très bon, quoi qu'il fasse attendre tous les randonneurs cela je ne trouve pas normal ainsi que nous imposer une grande table car tout le monde n'a pas les même affinités.
EN ce qui concerne le gite, oh la la , il ne faut pas être asthmatique, car l'odeur et la moisissures est fortement présente, la literie est a jeter. Sanitaires et douche propre, serviette et savon ainsi que papier toilette a prévoir car non fournis par le gite.
Point positif le jardin est entretenu.
