KRIŽNA CAVE

Križna jama is an 8.5 km long karst cave dug and fed by the waters of the Bloke Plateau with 22 underground lakes. The aquatic part can be visited by canoe in groups of five. Equipment is provided. It is renowned for the beauty of its stalagmites and lakes. If you meet amateur speleologists on site, they will tell you about it enthusiastically. "The most beautiful in Slovenia", certainly the wildest. It is essential to book your place several weeks in advance for a summer visit.
