The city's largest park began to take shape in 1813 according to the plans of the French engineer Jean Blanchard. Today, it covers almost 5 km2 and is divided into three parts by large avenues of chestnut trees. Geometric paths, flower squares, beautiful trees, numerous statues, fountains and a training path with accessories for outdoor exercises, the place is ideal for relaxation a few hundred meters from the center. Beautiful view from the top of Rožnik and its memorial Ivan Cankar.
