Rio Branco does not necessarily look like what one would expect from a big Amazonian city. The capital of the state of Acre, modern, pleasant, with its 370,000 inhabitants, looks like a province, but a province where everything is peaceful and organized. The city centre is quite small and you can quickly find what you are looking for: a travel agency to buy a plane ticket, a nice restaurant, a small pleasant hotel, an Internet café. In the evening, we will go to have a drink along the river, in one of the few bars with a cooler atmosphere than the city center. We appreciate the passing of time, and that is very Amazonian.
