The most famous of the city's churrascarias is also the most touristy. We come to see a kitsch but very Brazilian show: groups of Latin American singers and dancers follow one another during the dinner-show. The service is well run. The plate delights the palate: you can choose between 12 meats, 8 typical hot dishes, salads, 10 desserts, ice-cream... grilled picanha with peppers, onions ideally spiced. The foams are excellent. On the other hand, in this room of 3,000 people, all groups travelling to Iguaçu disembark.

The jardim da Cerveja is another classic address of Foz de Iguaçu, both bar and restaurant. In a rustic decor, we discover a good table with a varied menu. As in other establishments of this type, the establishment offers a vast terrace to take the freshness while savouring a beer in moderation and listening to Brazilian music. The tilapia fillets, accompanied by a good beer, as the name of the establishment encourages, are one of the pleasures offered by the menu. The service is professional and fast.

Another good "mineira" surprise. This restaurant fitted out by the owners Luis and Sergio, in a colonial house in the center of Iguaçu is an excellent surprise. The dishes for once are individual, but cheaper than elsewhere, and original, offering inventive cuisine. Starters, desserts and cocktails are not to be outdone. Remember to book in the evening, as the establishment is always full. Originality of the place which is reminiscent of Ouro Preto where the cafes are also antique shops, the decorative objects are for sale!

This small restaurant open only for lunch has as a concept to propose healthy and appetizing products. Major allergens are carefully avoided. The dishes of the day (pasta, sweet and savoury pastries, soups) are made from vegetables, meats and fish cooked to perfection, finely prepared, all at floor prices. Almost all the ingredients are organically grown. A great address where you can also enjoy a good breakfast, fresh fruit juice or cupcakes

Opened in 2017, this restaurant-bar has quickly established itself as an essential part of Foz's gastronomy. In a sober and elegant setting of brick and wood, people often come here to taste the meat. The picanha and T-Bone are in the spotlight and meat lovers are in favour of the Bendito, but vegetarians and fish lovers (try the bacalhau) will find their happiness here. The Saturday feijoada, buffets, accompanied by cocktails with or without alcohol, Argentinean or Italian beers or wines complete a varied offer of quality.

In a small pink house, this restaurant, with a little retro inspiration, has become a reference to Foz de Iguaçu. It offers quality Italian cuisine, with of course pizzas and pasta, gnocchi, lasagne. The typical dessert is sagu with cream, imported to southern Brazil by Italian immigrants. We often speak of "canteen", but here we must find a noble meaning. It is indeed a place where you come to eat frequently, and at a fair price. Cachaca is offered for digestion.

The Chef Lopez buffet restaurant has changed its location. It is now in the Catuai shopping center, but the ingredients that made it successful have not changed. Chef Lopes is a good restaurant where the meat pieces are served in the best Brazilian style. At lunchtime, the buffet is good and fairly cheap. The house risottos also attract gourmets. An effort is made to make the dishes as good for the palate as for the eyes. Simple and sophisticated, this is definitely a good value for money establishment.

The Lebanese restaurant "Castelo Libanes" honors Lebanese and Arabic cuisine. In a sober and pleasant setting, the menu offers the classics of Middle Eastern cuisine. Hummus, kibe, kebab, baba ganoush, esfihas (meat skewers) allow the guests to know some of the specialties of the cedar country, where we meet in a friendly atmosphere tourists, members of the Arab and Lebanese community of Foz, and regulars. A place to know in this multicultural city. Marhabaan!

"The place" maybe for cheap and good food on Foz. At the Barracao you will find a very good value for money buffet, with dozens of cold and hot dishes offered to guests. It's a little piece of Minas Gerais in paranoiac land. Some dishes are proposed à la carte. Dona Izabel has been cooking for almost 40 years in this soberly decorated but delicately decorated restaurant. The last but not the least, the barracao happy hour recently opened right across the street and is becoming one of the must-see places in Foz.
