Means of transport Parnaíba

The state of Piaui has the smallest coastline of any Brazilian state. The towns in the north of the state are close to those in neighboring states.

From São Luis: two buses a day, 9-hour journey. Departure from São Luis at 8:30 a.m., from Parnaíba at 5:30 a.m.

From Teresina: 6 hours travel time. Several departures a day from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., same for the return trip.

From Fortaleza: 8 hours 40 of travel time. 6 departures a day between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Prices range from R$85 to R$195. From Parnaiba, 6 departures also between 7 a.m. and 10:30 p.m

The airport project was slow to take off, but since March 2014 commercial activities have been resumed and now Parnaiba Airport is functional and fulfilling its function, even though there are not many flights there. Work is underway to increase its infrastructure so that it can accommodate more than one large port aircraft at a time.

Airlines: Azul, three flights per week to Teresina and Fortaleza.
