The state of Piaui has the smallest coastline of any Brazilian state. The towns in the north of the state are close to those in neighboring states.

From São Luis: two buses a day, 9-hour journey. Departure from São Luis at 8:30 a.m., from Parnaíba at 5:30 a.m.

From Teresina: 6 hours travel time. Several departures a day from 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., same for the return trip.

From Fortaleza: 8 hours 40 of travel time. 6 departures a day between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Prices range from R$85 to R$195. From Parnaiba, 6 departures also between 7 a.m. and 10:30 p.m

Eco Adventure Tour is an agency specialized since 1998 in nature tourism and on the Rota das Emoções (Lençois Maranhenses, Delta do Parnaiba, Jericoacoara). This "route of emotions" is declined in 4 forms. Several excursions in the region from 6 nights (essential and essential 2 in inversion), in natura 8 nights, and definitive (12 nights) and individual stays in option. Culture is not forgotten (Eco-cultural, 7 nights). Some stays focus on the beaches (7 nights) São Luís, Lençóis Maranhenses and Delta do Parnaíba.

Delta Explorer specializes in ecological tourism. It offers excursions in the Parnaiba delta and boat hire to Tutoia, in the Lençóis Maranhenses (approx. 6-hour trip). Of course, we also offer the 6-day, 7-night "rota das emoçoes", as well as stays in Piaui (7 Cidades National Park, rota das pedras, delta walks, ecological safari), Ceará and Maranhao states (Lençois Maranhenses). A la carte stays are also available.

The airport project was slow to take off, but since March 2014 commercial activities have been resumed and now Parnaiba Airport is functional and fulfilling its function, even though there are not many flights there. Work is underway to increase its infrastructure so that it can accommodate more than one large port aircraft at a time.
